The companies which comprise
Mostostal – Energomontaż originate from enterprises owned by
Zjednoczenie Mostostal (Mostostal Union) and Zjednoczenie Energomontaż
(Energomontaż Union), which have been in the steel structure
manufacturing and assembling industry for more than sixty years.
The history of the Mostostal union dates
back to 1945, with an excellent local and international track
record in steel construction. In March 1991 the state enterprise
was transformed into a sole shareholder company of the State
Treasury under the name of Mostostal Kraków S.A. A joint stock
company Mostostal Kraków Firma Handlowa (Mostostal Kraków Trading
Firm) was spun off from Mostostal Kraków S.A. Group in 1993.
In 2001, after the acquisition of 100% of the shares by Zakłady
Magnezytowe Ropczyce S.A. (Magnesite Plant Ropczyce S.A.),
Mostostal Kraków Firma Handlowa became a part of the Ropczyce
capital group.
Energomontaż dates back to 1969, when
Energomontaż – Zachód Wrocław was established to build the
largest power and industrial plants. For thirty years the company
was the prime contractor of assembling works, for the construction
of power units in power plants in Poland and in other countries.
The company Energomontaż – Zachód we Wrocławiu Sp. z o.o. (Energomontaż
– West in Wrocław, Ltd.) was established as a result of state
enterprise restructuring in 2002.
The company Mostostal Kraków
- Produkcja Sp. z o.o. (Mostostal Kraków – Manufacturing, Ltd.)
was established in 2005, working
in the field of steel structures manufacturing.
The beginning of 2008 was key in the company’s
development. In March Mostostal – Energomontaż S.A. was established
as a result of a merger between Mostostal Kraków Firma Handlowa,
Mostostal Kraków Produkcja and Energomontaż – Zachód. These
three companies integrating under a common name achieved new
development opportunities, and combined their previous achievements,
markets and trading base. In this way Mostostal – Energomontaż
S.A. became one of the leaders in the steel trading, steel
structures manufacturing and assembling industry.
